Dongshan is a must pass route from Tengchong to Baoshan. The Yubi Ancient Road was opened during the Han and Jin dynasties, and was partially diverted during the Yuan and Ming dynasties. During the Jiaqing period of the Qing dynasty, the Tongzhi of Tengyue Hall, Yilibu, organized the laying of stone slabs, covering a total distance of six kilometers. In ancient times, officials from the mainland and large commercial caravan transport all entered and exited through this route. It was the link between Tengchong and the world at that time. We can see that the ancient road under our feet has passed through the baptism of time, with horses stepping on their shoes and grinding them, shining brightly, and faint hoof prints visible. Mr. Li Genyuan inscribed the words "Jade Bi" on the giant stone lying horizontally on the ancient road, which is divided into two forks. The two characters "Jade Bi" can still be recognized today Mr. Xu Xiake, a famous geographer and traveler, once crossed Gaoligong Mountain twice and took this road. He stood here and wrote the description of Tengchong Dam: "Looking down at the depth of its dock, the middle is as flat as a stone, and the villages are far and wide, reflecting each other. Its dock is large and round, surrounded by small hills on all sides, not just like the gorge along the river."
